DCPS teacher and Moco mom... We (DCPS) are going back and Moco is not at all headed back to the extent we are, if at all. Husband and I have already talked about how one of us will need to quit our jobs to stay home with our son. This is a dammed mess.
Agree. I feel like MCPS will be the only district that does all online
I agree. 7 weeks until school starts and I dont' see how they can prepare for in-person, even if it's just 50%, in that amount of time.
All the other districts can do it, MCPS can too.
Because they are already preareing. Fairfax already decided what they will offer (100% DL or 2days/week in school) and have asked parents to commit to one of those options. Meanwhile, MCPS is still in teh general survey stage of things, and next BOE meeting isn't until 7/14. So they can't start implementing any plan until 7/14 or later. On top of that, the MCPS teachers union is undre contract negotiations and those are due end of July. In short, MCPS _can_ do it if they got their act together.. but they won't.
