But the PP is wrong.  Harvard announced that 40% will be on campus and Princeton announced Freshman and Juniors come on campus in Fall and Sophomores and Seniors in Spring. And that can easily be changed as needed.  [/quote]

This is correct—all remote instruction. Only freshmen will report to campus in the fall, and everyone will leave campus before Thanksgiving to do reading and exams remotely. Then freshmen will take classes from their homes in the spring, and Harvard will bring back seniors (and possibly another class, if conditions and state and local guidance allow).

They'll consider exemptions for students who can demonstrate that they don't have a stable home environment from which to work remotely. I think they'd also considered exemptions for international students who would find it difficult to return home to take remote classes, but the latest decree from ICE means that, with no on-campus instruction, they'll be forced to leave the US anyway.
