I know someone who went on a cruise that departed in early March. Super smart person, absolutely should have known better, and there were lots of people questioning the decision to go. I think people hear what they want to hear, even very smart people. In this case, the whole thing ended badly, with sick patients on board and the other passengers quarantined in their staterooms for many days. They were furious - not at the cruise company but at the US Government for the time it took to extricate them. Deflected blame, much?
Where did this happen? Did the cruise ship originate from the U.S.?
LOL. As if that somehow matters. I think this aggressive ignorance is why I’ll never take a cruise. Imagine being stuck on a boat with a bunch of dumba$$es.
Umm, you see no difference between a cruise originating from a U.S. port and a cruise originating from Japan or Argentina. They all carry the same exact amount of risk in your mind....that explains why you are so terrified.
Any cruise in March 2020 exceeds the acceptable risk level for anyone who was paying attention. Where was the boat previously? The crew? The other passengers? I’m not terrified at all because I don’t make reckless decisions like that.
