We immediately released all the spots. Good luck to every family.
We did the same. It was such an easy decision - SINCE WE THOUGHT AND TALKED ABOUT IT BEFORE THE RESULTS CAME OUT. But DC has friends who are doing a second shadow to some schools. Slow turtles.
Some things to consider "cocky rabbit" (referring to 9th grade admissions here..) 1) Perhaps your DC's friends didn't get into their first choice, and need to visit other schools again because the child needs to look at these schools with a new perspective. 2) This process can be overwhelming at all stages for kid. This is especially true in the Fall when kids are going to a lot of HS application events and they are missing a lot of school. Visits can blend together if a child has no clear favorite from the start and they follow advice to keep an open mind and not get heart set on any one place. It can also be hard to remember all the school visits when you are a kid who loves school and learning but is missing a ton of current school at a time when it is very challenging (the case for our 8th grade) and there is a lot to make up. Get some perspective - everyone is different.
