Kathleen Kennedy said that had been the plan. Of course I know people here are saying she’s lying, but I’m fairly sure JJ Abrams was planning on it.

Listen: Palpatine is the most consistent villain throughout the entire series. I’d agree with you all about it being random if he wasn’t all over the prequels, setting everything up. He’s the most obvious choice for who you have to defeat to finally bring an end to what was really the Skywalker vs Palpatine battle.

Far from it being illogical, it makes perfect sense.

Also, he didn’t come back as alive until he took the life force from Kylo and Rey. He was a ghost, like many other ghosts in Star Wars.

Lastly, why are we assuming Kylo knew what he was talking about when he told Rey she was nothing? I really don’t get why people think that was the gospel truth. It’s so weird to me. [/quote]
