The entire point of a police force is to keep people safe. Who cares if they stole the bikes? They were endangering human lives on a busy street. This should be a priority for the police. [/quote]

Yes, of course it does..it also causes stress and horror (at times) to law-abiding residents. And raises insurance premiums. But it is the DC philosophy of someone else's money, like our federal handouts I guess?[/quote]
