You’re right I’m a goofball. keep flying that DA flag. You do realize it’s just a league? Ecnl is just a league too. Good players will get recruited wherever they go. The fsu kid came to McLean from Arlington. Superb player. Would’ve been heavily recruited no matter where she was playing. Go away sock puppet.[/quote]

Is it really that hard to understand that the GDA is only in season 2?  The top-level current seniors and juniors in HS were already well into the recruiting phase and were already involved in HS soccer before the GDA launched.  04 and younger, the GDA is a destination and 03 will be interesting in the year coming up especially now that the 04s and 03s (U16s and U17s) have their own age-group in the DA.

Furthermore, whatever gap the top 03 ECNL team had on the GDA (talking to you BRYC) has shrunk or disappeared.  Hell, even McLean 03 have caught BRYC because Nadir runs it like a DA.  Development matters.  So when you play to win and you're not developing players, other players catch up and pass.  ECNL teams that are run like a DA with developmental coaches get the benefit of development.

Difference between DA and ECNL is the ability to play or not play High School.  McLean encourages players to play high school.  There is no separation of high school vs non high school players.[/quote]
