If you look at that list and don't see mediocre, then you don't know what mediocre looks like. To you, everything is impressive. [/quote] I’m not particularly impressed by someone with an Ivy League education, nor is the majority of the workforce. The idea that someone going to a good state school makes them mediocre...just makes you extraordinarily out of touch with reality. Going to an elite University is wonderful...on scholarship. If you pay hundreds of thousand of dollars more for that education than you could have received at a ‘mediocre’ School, your probably wasting your money. Your kids earning power isn’t likely to be that much better. But it might make you feel better about your child, I guess. In short...just don’t be a jerk. [/quote] We can argue over what colleges are worth high-priced tuition, and whether/how to navigate payments with or without scholarships. That's a separate conversation. Claiming the above list is impressive is nothing but hyperbole. [/quote]
