The only presidential campaign to pay for Russian dirt was Hillary’s campaign. Let’s just be honest here. We now have actual facts.
Except for the actual fact that Fusion GPS was hired to get dirt by the GOP first, before Hillary.
The GOP paid for zero dirt, you fool.
False. During the GOP Primary, in September 2015, Fusion GPS was paid $1m by a never-Trumper GOP donor to dig up dirt on Trump. That was before Hillary or the FBI even got involved with Fusion GPS.
What dirt? You liar.
Sorry but it's true September 2015: Washington Free Beacon hires Fusion GPS https://www.politico.com/story/2017/10/27/trump-russia-washington-free-beacon-fusion-gps-244265 Fusion GPS shopped it to Clinton's people as the GOP primary wound down
From your link: "Goldfarb and Continetti, however, said they have no knowledge or financial involvement in the creation of the now-infamous Trump-Russia dossier, prepared by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS." So, while FusionGPS was hired by someone in the GOP, their relationship ended with them when Trump won the primary. It was AFTER this point that Fusion GPS hired Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous dodgy dossier.
Once more, and this time in capitals, since you still don't seem to be getting it. THE WASHINGTON FREE BEACON PAID FUSION GPS FOR OPPOSITION RESEARCH AGAINST TRUMP. Whether or not it had Russia material is immaterial. OPPOSITION RESEARCH IS DIGGING FOR DIRT. FREE BEACON is who had the opposition research against Trump started. Free Beacon paid a big chunk of money, and as such one can be pretty certain they didn't get "zip." Hillary's people came along later, provided some additional money, which was then used to broaden the opposition research that was already started, this time going internationally via Steele and his MI6 contacts and his contacts who were moles inside Russian government. You idiots want to diismiss everything that doesn't involve direct collusion with Russia. And you also keep dismissing the Steele dossier as though it were fake despite not actually ever disproving it. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.
Who is the idiot here? At the top of this message is how the discussion rolled around to this. First statement:
The only presidential campaign to pay for Russian dirt was Hillary’s campaign. Let’s just be honest here. We now have actual facts.
2nd statement:
Except for the actual fact that Fusion GPS was hired to get dirt by the GOP first, before Hillary.
So, let me explain to you....... The first poster's whole point was that it was Hillary's campaign that actually paid Russians for dirt. You, presumably, then responded that the GOP hired Fusion GPS first. (statement in bold above) Your statement doesn't really address the 1st poster's point. It doesn't matter if a GOP person hired Fusion GPS. THE POINT IS THAT THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN IS THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY PAID THE RUSSIANS. It was THEN that Christopher Steele came on board and the Russians got involved. I guess you might call that "collusion." The first poster's statement is accurate and you and your retorts have only muddied the waters. That was likely your intent all along.
