For 4th. We've never done the lottery before. I admit to not knowing how to do this. Eaton Elementary School Waitlisted - #1 Murch Elementary School Waitlisted - #1 Stoddert Elementary School Waitlisted - #1 Mann Elementary School Waitlisted - #2 Lafayette Elementary School Waitlisted - #2 Key Elementary School Waitlisted - #1 Hearst Elementary School. Waitlisted - #1
OMG
Seriously. I posted a couple posts up for 4th grade with some of these schools. PP, you'll get in to one of them. When that happens, please do those of us on the list further down a favor and remove yourself from any waitlists you are still on (e.g., if you accept an offer at Key, remove yourself from the lists of Eaton, Murch, Stoddert, Mann, and Lafayette)!
I'm the #1 waitlist PP. Absolutely! I am in shock over these crazy numbers. Since these are all coveted schools, isn't there a chance that those who get offers will accept them, and DC still won't get off the waitlist?
Of course, but, for example, if YOU get off the waitlist at even one of those schools, someone else's kid will get bumped up to the #1 slot at that school and the other #1s you turn down. My kid is #16-20ish, so I'm not expecting any of this to benefit me, but there's some other rising 4th grade family with #4ish waitlist position at a bunch of these schools, so that person might get real lucky. Either way, congratulations. You will get in somewhere and it will probably be wonderful.
Congrats!! We must be just after you and before the PP at 3/28, 22:19 (p. 3): Currently in 4th at a Hardy feeder: Oyster (English-dominant) #1 Eaton #2 Janney #1 Stoddert #2 Hearst #2 Murch #2 Inspired #4
