My story is similar - I was in my 20s working as a lowly staff member at an international aid organization.  Some of the country representatives were real assholes (most were amazing) and treated me like shit.  What they failed to consider was that I was the one booking their travel.  The itineraries could be very complex and the guys in the travel office were treated as poorly as I was.  There were no direct flights to most of the countries we had staff in so there were always connecting flights. When booking travel, I could get you an overnight in Paris, a weekend in Bangkok, an upgrade to business class......or, I could get you a 6 hour layover in Tokoyo, another 4 hour layover in Kuala Lamphor and a middle seat in the middle section of the plane, one row in front of the smoking section. If they complained about their itineraries, I'd tell them they should feel free to talk to the travel guys themselves. The trave guys could always find a worse alternative... :lol:  [/quote]
