You're missing the point. It's not that he hasn't seen any Bollywood films. It's that he doesn't care enough about his "job" to put even the [i]bare minimum amount of effort[/i] in by reading the notes prepared for him by his staff.

In contrast, Charles, Camilla, and Meghan apparently over prepare for these things by not only reading their briefing notes but by researching the organization so they can sound educated about it and learning people's names and what they do. That's an easy way of making people feel special and remembered.[/quote]

And not only does he not do the bare minimum, he is so contemptuous of the people who shows up to see them that he laughs to THEM about not reading the notes and making mistakes.

His behavior is extremely unbecoming and outrageously rude. Meeting a Duke or a King is a very big deal for many many common people and a once in a lifetime experience. For him to be so rude is outrageous and very wrong.
