Why wasn't the parent / caregiver of the child the aide was assisting near the bus.  Did the bus driver literally rape the girl while the aide was right outside the door of the bus?  MCPS should have policy for parents / caregivers to come to the bus to get the child so the aide stays with the bus.  The bus driver should have never had the [b]opportunity[/b] to rape a child.[/quote]

There are specific programs for students with significant disabilities. If they just went to their neighborhood school there might be only 1 or 2 or 3 students, each with vastly different programmatic needs. So, different schools are designated for different programs, and multiple students are gathered from surrounding schools to attend that program.

Research has overwhelmingly shown that these programs do not meet kids’ needs, and that kids learn better in natural ratios in inclusive environments.  Kids are also safer in natural ratios in inclusive environments.  [/quote]
