I’m 49 and grew up in Chevy Chase, with an accountant dad and a SAHM. We went out to dinner a couple times a year and hardly ever got takeout. My dad drove a ‘68 VW Bug into the late ‘80s. It wasn’t Appalachia (where my grandmother grew up, so I know) but people weren’t necessarily swimming in money there either.[/quote]
