No board member may serve more than two consecutive terms. There is at least one who has done so. 2. The board must develop a succession plan for when key staff departs 3. The governance committee must consult with the PTO to select new board members The SSMA board is not fulfilling its role as an accredited Montessori institution in terms of governance if it does not follow this process.
