If I'm not a Democrat, the former president Obama is also not a Democrat.

He deported lots of undocumented immigrants who committed crimes.

According to the Washington Post, about 1/4 of the immigrants detained in MoCo are either veterans or don't have a documented criminal past. The other 3/4 have serious records.

"The legal aid for low-income immigrants was initially supposed to come in the form of a grant to the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition (CAIR) and be available to detained immigrants with few financial resources. But CAIR said it would decline the grant after the council attached a lengthy list of criminal convictions that would disqualify many applicants."

I applaud Navarro and the council for not authoring money to defend the 3/4 who already have criminal records.
