Thank you. And FTR, your post  is not from the "prominent poster" to whom Jeff referred, as I believe that would be me.

And what you are saying is exactly the point I keep trying to make.....the message that antisemitism isn't that bad, or certainly it's not as bad as relgious prejudice against Muslims or racial prejudice against blacks. That's why we see all this pretzel-twisting to explain it away.

I too have been appalled by how unwilling (some) liberals are to admit that one of their council members is repeatedly demonstrating antisemtitic attitudes. Excuses after excuse. Just call it like it is: the guy is antisemtitic, and too stupid apparently to learn from his revelation of it.

The Rothschild comment is part of the "vast worldwide Jewish conspiracy" anti-Semitism that goes back at least to [i]The Protocols of the Elders of Zion[/i]. I'm willing to accept that he doesn't know all that history, but that doesn't make it any less a part of "unabashed anti-semitism."

Also, when you are IN THE HOLOCAUST MUSEUM and you are trying to explain away the behavior of Nazis, that is "unabashed anti-semitism" by any definition I can think of.[/quote]
Agree! We still have evidence on this thread of the very behavior we are talking about.....the propensity of progressive liberals to explain away very obvious antisemtitism - and who actually get angry at the Jews who are rightly pointing out that any bigotry toward  Jewish people is completely unacceptable.

And look at how the blame is shifting.....from the antisemtitic black Democrat to the Jews who dare - how dare they?! - complain about his antisemtism. Someone in this thread even suggested that when Jews don't show repeated forgiveness, patience, understanding, whatever, in the face of repeated  disrepectful behavior (and I'm being generous) of White to Jewish people, it's the JEWS who are stirring up trouble.

Look. White advanced a ridiculous antisemtitic conspiracy theory (he might have known, but let's give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's just a stupid idiotic), there was a effort for Jews to "educate" him about how disrepectful he was. So what does he do? He apologizes, and then can't even have the decency to complete a tour of the Holocaust Musuem.
