Any tips for getting into the peleton / spin in general? My husband got one and likes it, I've tried a couple times and just can't get into the class. It seems both hard and boring and I'm counting every minute. Any suggestions? I'd love to like using it, I'm typically a runner or go to Orange Theory but with scheduling conflicts lately I need to work out at home more.
I don't think it's would try if you just don't like it. You will just be resentful. I find running a hideously boring slog, and I don't think buying the Peloton Tread is going to change that. I know people who have gone from apathetic to liking something (running, swimming, whatever) but I think it's a lot harder if you actively dislike it. I get you, too; I tried for years to like running and I finally just admitted that it's not going.to happen. Sorry to not encourage you, but I think pushing yourself to do exercise you dislike is a recipe for exercise resentment.
