NP here. Don't be stupid! I have never shown my 11 year old porn and had he seen the picture OP describes his reaction at age 11 would be  a. "That's fake! " or b. That's gross or That's stupid!."  Not screaming and crying.  My 6 year old might scream and cry.  Actually, my 11 yo might scream and cry too because he would know he would be in massive trouble for purposely looking up porn and then lying about it.[/quote]

You are mocking this kid. Not all kids are the same. Maybe yours is exposed to more adult stuff but clearly this one is not. I think an 11 who still has some innocence is a good thing. Why do these kids have to grow up so fast and be so immune to everything in the adult world? I would hope an 11 has never been exposed to that kind of thing and would be scared and shocked and upset. Expect kids to handle adult stuff like adults is ridiculous and sad. [/quote]

No I'm not mocking him. I am saying his reaction is atypical for an 11 year old.  The majority of 11 year olds would ot scream or cry. They might be grossed out or think it's weird that's not an adult reaction. An adult would not be  phased at all. [/quote]

Who are you to say what’s typical for an 11 year old? Are you basing that on the supposed reaction of your own kid? Are all kids supposed to react the same way you assume your kid would? You don’t actually know at all how your kid or any other would react. Heck, I’m an adult and no prude and I was taken aback when I saw that photo. I closed it pretty darn fast. Calling a kid a snowflake because he isn’t blasé about a graphi pornographic image is pretty low. [/quote]

First all I never called the child a snowflake. SO if you are going to become indignant please have the comprehension to realize that there is more than one poster on this message board.
Secondly, unlike you I have experience with 11 year olds.  I can say what is typical reaction for an 11 year old because I've raised 11 year olds, have one currently and have spent the last 20 years working with 11 year olds and have dealt with similar situations as OP describes and screaming and crying in response to seeing a  pornographic image is atypical for an 11 year old. They might shut down the image fast, call it gross or stupid etc.  Crying and screaming would not be typical reaction.[/quote]
