I am not disappointed when I meet a women with a bachelor degree or master degree in arts or history who chose to be a housewife. However, when I meet someone with the MBA or law degree from the IVY and who never worked, or works as a yoga teacher once a week, I feel upset. I feel like this person took someone else spot at the elite college, the college spent all that money to train her, and she does not return it back to the society. Her spot could be taking by some other lady who will be more productive member of the society. [/quote]

I find it hysterical that you have clearly given so much thought to this.  You must be "upset" (!) with a great deal of women then. Every SAHM I know has advanced degrees, often in law or business, and often from an Ivy.  But guess what?  They've all worked in their field prior to having children and many of us will return to work at some point.  Good thing we got those degrees, huh?

As for being a "productive member of society," I find it puzzling that anyone would consider a parent taking time out of the workforce to care for his or her children to be "unproductive."  There's truly no job more important to society. [/quote]
