It's true beauty fades and dumb is forever.
Men age like fine wine while women age like milk.
Not in my experience. I went to my 20th 2 years ago (McLean) and the men were ATROCIOUS! Fat, balding, sloppy, and dishevled. The women had maitained themselves so much better. Its like these guys peaked in high school and over the las 20 years had just let themselves go. I went home and climbed on top of my DH and did him real good, with the realization that i was married to a 1%er and i could have actually ended up with one of those slobs I shudder to even picture that scene again. Are you telling me three guys will get some sort of miracle makeover? It's not like these guys grew up poor or anything. They were just so incredibly dumpy.
I agree. More men than women let themselves go. Too fat, too skinny, bald, etc. But, what I find interesting is that these men still perceive themselves to look just as they did at 20! And deserving of good looking women! Among my friends, almost all of DHs are having bellies that would make a 9 months old pregnant women look slim, no muscle, some might have hair, still in the 80s style. Yet, these same tools think they are a catch to VS model looking younger women! It is so pathetic to see. I am slim, have great hair, exercise, etc, but apart from one friend's DH, I don't know any other that have gone to the gym ever. As a fun story, my DS was asked my his friends just how young am I. He is a teen. No, I was not flattered, but boys/men have very little common sense about what is appropriate topic no matter the age. My very heavy(think triplets belly) FIL goes on cruises and thinks he is funny when he tells me his story about how they went "whale watching." Yes, you know what he means.
Interesting, my morbidly obese FIL is also critical of women's weight. Come to think of it, all the men I know who criticize overweight women are overweight themselves.
