McMullin, as I understand it, entered the race as a spoiler *because* he perceived Trump as a threat to the Constitution. It's not like this is his latest argument in a series of trying to discredit Trump. This op-ed sums up the entire reason he has opposed him from the start. If he were just a generic #NeverTrump-er, I would find your analogy more apt.[/quote]
