What OP is saying is that the Clinton supporters are saying 'its your fault we are angry... you need to do/say something to make us not angry' then when you do/say something they say 'you didn't do it right, so I'm still angry.' Its not any different than when your are in an abusive relationship and the abuser keeps saying I will stop if you only did/said the right thing (i.e., its your fault I'm abusing you). In this example the right wing folks are being abused by the left wing folks. Anyone who says they don't see the analogy are being, at best, purposefully obtuse. I understand what OP is saying.
You're both nuts. I am picking up that a lot of Trump supporters now feel guilty about having elected him, or insecure about the fact that their may be repercussions for his supporters when the emerging "minority majority" gets its act together and starts to unseat the Trumpists in a few years. But no number of posts trying to spin the current situation is going to make you feel better. The only way that will happen is if Trump, through word and deed, proves to be a better President than he was a campaigner and actually demonstrates that he realizes the responsibilities he soon will exercise on behalf of all the American people, and not only those who lapped up his campaign rhetoric.
By any objective standard Trump ran a great campaign. He was not supported by his party and he was fighting a war on at least three fronts (Dems, Repubs, Media) and he did it without spending as much as HRC. Now you may not like his tactics but I can tell you that he was very skillful in what he did. I really believe he has been wanting to run for President for a while but he waited and chose to run this time because he estimated that it was his best shot. He picked a weak opponent in HRC. Plus he beat out 17 other candidates in the primary. I hope he fights just as hard for the United States. I understand wanting to help other people (and the whole world) but I learned that you can't help anyone unless you yourself are standing on solid ground. Right now the United States is not standing on solid economic ground and we need to get our own house in order before we try to save the whole freaking world.
The problem is when he was campaigning he was fighting for himself. Now as president he's supposed to fight for us. But this is a man who his whole life has only cared about himself (eg screwing over a lot of working people and small business owners in the interest of making a buck) and suddenly he's going to change? You folks are dreaming
