The costs to offenders are real even if they do not result in points against drivers licenses or added insurance costs. The locations of cameras become well known to drivers over time and adding additional cameras brings an inevitable backlash. The real question is whether or not the cameras are effective at reducing speeding infractions or simply generating revenue.[/quote]
