My dh got straight As at NoVa and applied to transfer to UVA--no dice. They went elsewhere. That said, if you do it, apply for transfer admission before the priority deadline.   [/quote]

Just checked--it's still in place and it looks like it's even easier than ever (3.4 in NVCC classes) for Arts and Sciences admittance.  Amazing deal.[/quote]

There are only so many seats and you have to apply way before the deadline since they fill up. There is no automatic admission.[/quote]
