I think my dad likely has been playing both sides and pitting us against each other. He told me a few weeks ago that he told my stepmother, "You took my grandson away from me" because of her behavior. I'm sure this is stoking the anger against me. I tried to arrange to go visit them (they live a plane ride away), but my dad said, "Your stepmother said that she'll go visit her friends if you come visit us." It's a really dysfunctional relationship all around, but I still try to maintain the relationship. Luckily I'm in therapy trying to work through this.[/quote]
