I think even if given the opportunity, there are cultural reasons for staying in it, but also still complaining. It's like a badge to go through it, stick with it, and raise your own kids that way (they are always the type to post memes: "I grew up not wearing a seatbelt, with lead paint, played in the country all day, babysat when I was 8...etc.) [/quote]
