Let's say you are taking your vintage car in to get serviced and the random guy, [b]who may or may not have all of his teeth[/b], behind the counter says to you "it's so HOT when women drive vintage cars". Innocuous?

Your 15 year old daughter, Larla, becomes interested in car racing. Her great uncle, Larlo, also likes car racing and over thanksgiving dinner says "it's so HOT when girls like cars". Innocuous?

You are watching the 4th quarter of a big football game and you are yelling out some suggestions the coach and the random guy next to you says "it's so HOT when girls like football". Innocuous?

You are giving a big presentation at work and nail the delivery. After, your coworker says "it's so HOT when girls can analyze and present findings". Innocuous?

This type of sexualization of hobbies/interests is demeaning and disrespectful to women. It's seeing them as a woman first and not as a capable person. Why shouldn't women enjoy driving stick? Why is that so special?

This wasn't the explicit board where people flirt with each other all of the time. It was a legit discussion about cars. That guy's sexual fantasies had no place.
