Seriously?  I would think it would be weirder for me to drag him to go shopping and then expect him to pay.  For a guy there is a minefield to navigate with women's clothes sort of like the right answer to "does this make my butt look big".  If you buy something totally not her style, it seems like you are trying to change her and not happy with her the way she is.  If you go shopping with her and always pay at the register, it makes it seem like a sugar daddy type relationship or you are trying to buy her.  If you are too good and picking out stylish clothing, she has to be cool with the metrosexual he can dress better than me and either I'm confident he doesn't want to wear my dresses or I will be cool if he does.

But back to OP, how do you feel about it?  What is typical doesn't matter as long as you and the guy are on the same page.  There was a thread awhile ago about someone that was super tight with her family and didn't understand why her boyfriend didn't want to see her family very often.  Many thought she was out of step with norms, but almost everyone said she shouldn't change for a guy, shouldn't expect the guy to change for either and instead try to find a guy that feels the same.[/quote]
