So far all the correspondence has been great. They are to meet next week, and said that they will accept a private evaluation too. I must say, so far it has been very good response.
Like an earlier poster said, it would definitely be helpful for you to have some idea of what supports or accommodations you think would help your child and why -- extended time, reduced distraction work settings, a checkin/checkout system for homework, etc. Unless she's struggling a lot academically or showing very severe behaviors at school, they are unlikely to qualify her for special education. The criteria private psychologists use for diagnosis and their recommendations are different from special education eligibility criteria, even if they "accept" the report. The private report will give you good support for a 504 Plan (typically this means accommodations, not services). I would strongly suggest reading and printing this document, which was just released a couple months ago, about your legal rights under 504 for a child with ADHD -- it's pretty clear that schools should be granting more 504 plans: https://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/docs/dcl-know-rights-201607-504.pdf
