But there will not be kids on the boat and you won't get a feeling of "gee, I wish we would have brought the kids" because the experience/excursions would not have been suitable for them.

Adult only resorts will also offer this, but I think a cruise might be more exciting.  River cruises are totally different from ocean cruises. It's all about the places you visit.  You could also do a land tour.[/quote]
