Did they win ?
Semenya won gold in the women's 800. It really isn't her fault that she was born the way she was. She wants to compete and some gender has to be assigned. If the IOC declares her a woman then she gets to run as a woman and the medal was fairly won. However, she looks and runs like a man.
If you know, would you share her time compared to th male winners in the 800.
You can google this as well as I can, but I'll take a look for you.
For the men's 800m race, the top 3 finishers were 1:42 and change. For the women's 800m race, Semenya was 1:55.28, second place was 1:56.49, and third was 1:56.89. See if this video plays for you. Semenya is wearing green. http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/caster-semenya-takes-home-800m-gold
The bronze medal winner is also intersex, Margaret Wambui. The silver medalist is also rumored to be intersex So the gold, silver and bronze medalists in Rio are not racing with female hormone levels. It is unfair to all the other athletes competing in female events. There must be a fairer way to do this.
