According to the delegation head, each team was assigned its own bus and he thought the Israelis were attempting to board the wrong bus. It is understandable that a Lebanese might overreact to a perceived attempt by Israelis to occupy someone else's place. They've had bad experiences with that sort of thing.

Yes, because getting on a bus going to the Olympics has so much to do with one country invading or occupying another.   It is fucking ridiculous.  The Lebanese people on that bus should be banned for life from the games.  Terrorists of Muslim decent are committing violent atrocities daily worldwide-given Jeff's logic-Trump's proposal to "Ban Muslims" is spot on.

I described the what the Lebanese did as an overreaction. That is hardly a defense. It is amazing how black and white so many of you see things. Life is not so simple. You don't ban people for life because of a misunderstanding. Similarly, Trump's proposal to ban Muslims and the support shown for that ban by posters here is an overreaction based on misunderstanding (taking the most charitable view). But, don't worry, I won't ban you because of that.
