Cuddling and squishing with pillows. He likes to be squished.
Mine likes to be squished too - roll him up in comforter and then lay on him. He thinks its funny, but it works.
Both my ADHD kids love this. And to be honest, I (PTSD) love it when my SO squishes me. If he's traveling, I sleep under a featherbed.
This is OP. I just wanted to report back that I tried the squishing technique and he LOVED it!! Giggled his head off and then immediately relaxed and conked out very soon after. Amazing. Thank you DCUM!! I also tried switching the routine, per another PPs advice, so we did bath & PJs first, then dinner, brush teeth and books. Worked SO MUCH better! And this morning I dressed him first thing when he woke up, avoiding the normal battle with 10 minutes to get out the door.
So happy you found some techniques that helped. I love when people report back and some little piece of advice has helped. :)
