I'm a minimalist and lean toward the modern and have full height floor to ceiling curtains in my family room. They are actually just decorative and we never close them as we have a shade on the window for privacy, but they add a pop of color (West Elm zig zag curtain in maize) and because they are full height they make the ceiling feel taller and frame the window.[/quote] What self-proclaimed minimalist would have curtains that aren't even functional? If you have them for purely decorative purposes, that's ornamentalism, not minimalism. [/quote]
