It's been nearly a week and I haven't heard anything from him.  He did text DH and asked that he apologize to our kids for his behavior, but there was no mention of me.  He also mentioned that we will just have to "live with the consequences" of what happened.  It's obvious that he still thinks that I am the one at fault.  My emotions have settled but I am still hurt, angry and sad.  DH stands by me but also wonders what the future will hold.  It's only a matter of time before my FIL invites all to get together and I've already made up my mind that I will not attend any family functions if he is there.  Eventually his Dad is going to hear the whole story and that's when things will really get interesting...[/quote]
