The flyer doesn't say it's for needy children, they say it's for every child. Schools have movie nights and other social activities. Why shouldn't they have BBQ lunch?
Because these funds should go toward EDUCATION. Is that hard for you to understand?
Just another step in the government indoctrination of children. Families will be destroyed as the children learn to rely on the government for everything.
Seems like the goal of those in power now.
So the kids should go hungry? Bullshit. This is a great program. I am delighted to see my tax dollars supporting this.
Same here. The alternative is that the kids will go hungry, because the SNAP benefits don't usually go far enough which is why the kids get free breakfast/lunch during the school year. And yes, some non-needy kids will attend if they're in the area but let's not forget there are a lot of people who don't qualify for assistance and aren't "needy" who really can't afford to feed their kids. Then HHI limit for a household of 4 for SNAP is like $30,000. Someone making $35,000 may not qualify for assistance but they sure aren't rolling with it. If a few truly "rich" kids eat there too - SO WHAT?
