I think they actually do a really good job with it (and it did not detract from the overall dynamic of the classroom at all, we really liked the school). It was a shame when they did away with the modified calendar because it really helped the kids with retention. Complaining about tax money being used to feed poor kids one meal per day is really just disgusting, as is the assumption that people actually prefer government assistance to trying to raise themselves out of poverty.
