I am/was on the Chancellor's Parent Cabinet and her disdain for people who weren't satisfied with their "good enough" neighborhood schools was palpable. I was quite disenchanted and felt as if she had no will or ability to help ok schools become really good schools. Her focus was squarely on the underperforming schools, which is understandable, but doesn't help most middle class parents want to stay in DC. It must be incredibly tough to be in charge of such a divided school system like DCPS. [/quote]
