Probably a deal made as part of Obama getting Clinton's support when he beat her in 2008.  DWS as Clinton's campaign chair needed a landing spot.[/quote]

She didn't need a landing spot, because she was a sitting Congresswoman.

I thought it was because she wanted to endorse Sanders, and as a member of the DNC leadership she had to remain neutral in the primary?

I wish I could claim credit for the Granholm idea, but I can't. A number of people more knowledgable than I have suggested Clinton would like Granholm to run the DNC. I too think it's a fantastic idea. [/quote]
