[/quote] It isn't a rigid and disciplined way of teaching math. It is meant to be taught with manipulative a and real life interactions to create real working knowledge of math. My kids' school uses it - it's been great. They teach mental math and multiple ways of solving problems so they learn to choose what technique is best. [/quote]
