But I finally woke up and saw it as the horrible, abusive situation that it was and that I was creating. It's hard to do that, to look at yourself and say, "I"m the problem here." I finally realized that rationalizing negative behavior was just that, empty rationalizing. I did exactly what TwistdMike suggested and went to a doctor and got on antidepressants. It's like the lens of seeing the world is different and clearer and without this film of negativity. I hope OP's wife will consider it. Depression manifests itself not just as sadness but what OP described. Good luck OP. I hope she heals and you all heal. I hope the same for me and my family. [/quote]
