Unfortunately, I think a lot of the time people won't change unless there are huge consequences. I see the same dynamic in my friend's family that I've seen in families of alcoholics; the consequences of their choices aren't severe enough to motivate them to make changes. Would he be open to seeing a doctor and possibly doing therapy or Overeaters Anonymus?[/quote]
