Wow. I have friends who have had debilitating hot flashes For 9 years - and counting. Mine is awful - I'm on Hrt. Hot flashes every 5-10 minutes, no sleep at all, brain fog, creaky joints and dry lady parts. No thanks! Just a small amount of HRT and I'm like a new woman (new old woman , just like I used to be).
Does that mean they're still in perimenopause? Or do people still get hot flashes once they get through menopause?
I have a friend who has had hot flashes for 10 years. That's a long time. It's easy for some, not so much for others. Some people have debilitating hot flashes, but fewer of them. Some have them all the time. Some have little ones and don't notice. Everyone is different.
