As someone who is in education myself, I believe Beauvoir does the best job of allowing children to be children -- to play and be creative without a lot of rote work and drills. The teachers are great at meeting children where they are and working to help hem build their strengths and address weaknesses. They value social development as much as academic development. The teachers have a great sense of what is developmentally appropriate. Surprisingly, many early childhood and elementary school teachers do not. We're very happy with Beauvoir, and have absolutely no problems with the lack of homework. As one of the ones posters alluded, the studies show that hours of homework actually does little to advance learning and may actually undermine it. [/quote]
