[/quote] to be fair to dcps - the $600k is on top of the cost of arts teachers who would be allocated to the schools. The problem with the plan is that the schools are heavily enrolled and have no spare space or facilities for arts instruction. If our school had the space I think parents would be open to the school hiring teachers and developing its own arts program. When you think of the necessary capital investment though, Filmore looks like a bargain. [/quote]
