PP, this does sound like it worked out well, but you are not one of the kids and don't know how they really feel inside. If I had an awesome stepmom like you, I would go out of my way to make sure you never knew about the heartache that my bio mom caused me -- but I would still be feeling that heartbreak on the inside.

OP, I speak from experience when I say that you sound very depressed. Get psychiatric help now. You actually can "take a break" from parenting -- and concentrate on your mental health. I say this as someone was has been in-patient in the psych ward and it was what I needed. Even if divorce is ultimately the right choice for you, you need to be mentally healthy first before making any decisions.[/quote]
