She let us learn to thread the laces through the holes, and she taught us how to tie them. We all knew how to do it before K, because we never wore Velcro. My mother didn't have the time or inclination to worry about that, other things were more important. Now, I still have the blocks, and kids love playing with them, and they learn before K, whether or not they have Velcro or laces.[/quote]
