I started bathing every night (except weekends) after starting daycare -- and honestly it's a good idea. They change them on the same table, and while they're required to wipe the table in between changing I'm sure trace fecal matter (if not worse) has made it to my DC's body. Might not bother some but it bothers me. And then there are the chemicals they use to wipe it down with -- also want to get that off.
I agree and I'm not particularly neurotic. 4 year old gets a bath every night - he gets grimy, doesn't always wipe well, etc. 2 year old does also - changing pad, food smells in his hair, etc. Just feels better to get into bed clean (I'm a night showerer, as is DH, so maybe we pass that idea along!)
I should add that every now and then we skip 2 year old's bath on weekends when he's not at daycare if he's mostly been around the house/outside (as opposed to at my gym etc).
