Former prosecutor who watched the trial.  I have always said that the jury rendered the correct verdict based on the evidence presented. The state failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt and they made so many dumb mistakes. It was unbelievable. [/quote]

I was a law student at the time and agree 100%. Frankly I was disappointed that my criminal law professor refused to even acknowledge this was a possibility and immediately jumped to the 'jury nullification' conclusion. The 'reasonable doubt' standard means that sometimes people who committed crimes go free because that is better than convicting innocents.[/quote]
